AUSTIN, Texas, November 21, 2020 --- Bobby Krug announced that he will be heading down to Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas in early December to participate in a 3-Day Formula 4 school with Skip Barber Racing School.

"I am extremely excited and consider myself very fortunate to be able to take my racing to the next level," Krug said. "I really enjoyed my experience last year and I am ready to learn everything I can at Circuit of the Americas."

The car - the Mygale Formula 4 car is considered the first step on the ladder to Formula 1. The 1.6L Ford EcoBoost engine propels the 1200-pound rocket to 60mph in under 4 seconds. The F4 car is the same vehicle that Krug drove at his school at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway in 2019.

The track - Circuit of the Americas is the current home for races across all forms of motorsports including F1, Indycar, MotoGP, NASCAR and many more. Only 1 of 2 FIA Grade 1 tracks in the United States, Circuit of the Americas is a 3.426-mile, 20 turn road course which was opened in 2012.

The school - Skip Barber Racing School is one of the largest racing schools in the world. Skip Barber alumni have won every major United States racing championships. Whether someone is a new driver that wants to learn accident avoidance, or a seasoned racer looking to improve, Skip Barber has a program that is a perfect fit.

The driver - Bobby Krug is one of the top 4-cycle kart racers in the Midwest. Krug is a champion in the Gateway Kartplex Ignite Series after winning his way into the program through the iDrive Rental Kart Series. When he's not behind the wheel of a kart, Krug can be found logging laps and winning races on the iRacing simulation software.

After the completion of the school, Krug plans on searching for opportunities to finish the steps to receiving his SCCA Full Competition License, whether that is participating in SCCA events or participating in the 2-Day Advanced School, and networking with investors, companies and race teams to move to the next step in motorsports.
