Bobby Krug Racing Services is proud to announce that Porter Powers will join the team for the 2026 season, competing in the Route 66 Sprint Series, Cup Karts North America and other select national events.

Hailing from Kirkwood, Missouri, 11-year-old Porter Powers enters the BKRS program as one of the most promising young drivers in the St. Louis karting scene. With four years of racing experience, Porter has steadily built a strong foundation through competition in the Gateway Ignite Series, SuperComp, and the Ignite Challenge.
Porter’s resume already includes an impressive list of accomplishments. He was named the 2023 Gateway Kartplex Racing Forward Young Driver Award and captured the 2023 Gateway Kartplex Kid Kart Championship. Since then, he has continued to develop, earning top-four finishes across Ignite Rookie, Ignite Challenge, and SuperComp competition.
Porter’s move to BKRS aligns with the team’s continued focus on developing young talent and creating a clear progression path from entry-level racing to regional and national competition. Porter joins the BKRS program as the team's first cadet driver behind the wheel of the VLR Sapphire cadet kart. Porter's commitment to improvement, combined with a competitive mindset, makes him a strong addition to the program.
Outside of racing, Porter stays active across multiple sports, including club soccer, CYC basketball, golf, and swimming. Despite a busy schedule, his passion for racing remains front and center. Porter is supported by Onder Law, Galmiche and Sons Heating and Cooling, Otto Orthodontics, and the Gutherz family, all of whom play an important role in his continued development both on and off the track.
“Porter is exactly the type of driver we love working with,” said Bobby Krug, owner of BKRS. “He’s young, motivated, and already has a strong foundation. We’re excited to help guide his transition into the next level of racing and continue building his racecraft as he steps into bigger opportunities.”
Looking ahead, Porter’s long-term goal is clear—to progress into car racing and continue climbing the motorsports ladder. With BKRS support behind him, the 2026 season marks an important step in that journey.
