INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana, October 11, 2019 --- Bobby Krug takes the next step in his racing career with a one-day Skip Barber Racing School at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Krug earned the school by finishing second in Skip Barber’s iRacing competition at the St. Louis Auto Show in January.
The school day started with classroom lessons covering the basics of car control. The second quarter of the day was spent behind the wheel of Skip Barber’s Mustang GTs on the skid pad and autocross track applying the lessons learned in the classroom. The last half of the day was spent doing lead-follow sessions in the Mygale FIA Formula 4 car.
“It was an awesome opportunity to do a Skip Barber Racing School, especially in an open-wheel car at Indianapolis Motor Speedway,” Krug said. “I learned a lot that I will take with me back to karting and whatever comes next in my racing career.”
After finishing third in the points in the 2019 Margay Racing Ignite Series at the Gateway Kartplex, Krug earned another one-day Skip Barber Racing School which will get him another step closer to his SCCA competition license.
