Bobby Krug Racing Services (BKRS) is excited to announce Ben Hauhe as the newest addition to our 2026 driver lineup. Ben becomes our first announced Junior driver, and he will represent the team in the Route 66 Sprint Series, select Apex Karting Championships events, and various national-level races throughout the season.

With only a year and a half of racing experience, Ben has already established himself as one of the most consistent young drivers in the region. His 2025 season included 34 race starts with 22 podium finishes, along with 2nd overall in both SuperComp and the Ignite Challenge during his rookie year. He has competed across 206, KA100, Tri-C Winchester, and Route 66, gaining valuable experience in both 4-cycle and 2-cycle competition. Ben’s introduction to the sport began in the iDrive program, where he first met BKRS owner Bobby Krug - that connection played a major role in his decision to join the team.

“Bobby has been a mentor to me since I first started in iDrive,” Hauhe said. “His willingness to help and his leadership have been unmatched. I’m excited to keep learning and growing in the VLR platform this season.”

Hauhe’s racing journey has been supported by his sponsors r8tr Racing and Devine Sailing, along with strong guidance from his dad and his PawPaw, who have helped shape his growth on and off the track. He has also benefited from working with national champion Phil Giebler and racer Grant Palmer, who helped accelerate his race craft early in his career.

“Ben has shown impressive progression in a very short time,” said Bobby Krug. “His positive attitude, work ethic, and commitment to getting better every time he’s in the kart align perfectly with what we look for in our program. We're very excited to welcome Ben into the BKRS family.”

Ben will make his first start with the team at WKA Daytona KartWeek, held December 28–30 at the world-famous Daytona International Speedway. BKRS will support VLR drivers in the Open 206 division as well as Margay Ignite drivers competing in the Ignite-spec classes, with entries on both the road course and sprint track throughout the event.
